If you have requested access to an app that can only be run on Windows,  most likely we will issue an AWS Workspace-based Virtual Machine to give you the ability on your Mac.

1. Once the request comes in to us via Freshdesk,  we will create a Workspace for you.  When that Workspace has been created and launched,  you will receive an email from Amazon as shown below.

2.  When you click the link in Step 1 of the email,  you should be asked to enter your username (found in your email) and a password (you can enter what you like and click continue) - after this you should get the following prompt:

3. From here,  click on MacOSX "download" to download the Workspace installer.  Once downloaded,  open the .dmg file in your downloads folder or at the bottom left hand corner of your browser and you'll see the following install prompt

4.  Once the install is complete,  navigate to your Applications and open the Workspaces application and double click it - you should then be prompted to enter the registration code you rec'd in the email and click Register

5.  Once you click register,  you should then be prompted to login to the Workspace app / the workspace will launch:

6.  Once launched, you should see the following Windows desktop appear in a small box on your Mac desktop - asking for you to choose if you want your VM discoverable.  Click yes.

7.  You now have a Windows 10 desktop that you can use like any other Windows-based computer.  Keep in mind it will be slower to react than normal,  so be patient with any actions you take as they will be delayed.  Go ahead and resize the window to your liking by dragging one of the corners with your mouse,  size change shown below:

Tip:  Be sure to use Firefox on the Windows desktop as your browser to search Google for any items you need to download (such as PowerBI) or if you have any emails you need to open that have links to apps you need to download, you can log into your email using Firefox to grab those.

*Note - Power BI users:

For downloading PowerBI,  launch Firefox browser in your Virtual Machine and copy the link below into the browser, then follow the install instructions for PowerBI:
