Nomad and One Identity are both password managers,  but which one should we use and why?

Answer:

Nomad is our standard password manager for Healthy Paws,  as well as for all macs in the Aon organization.

One Identity is simply another password manager that Aon uses,  but those emails get generated because by default it is tied to your Aon ID and Aon email.

Good news is,  when changing your password with Nomad ONLY,  everything important updates as it should,  but One Identity does not.  Hence why you will continue to receive Aon emails about your password expiring,  even though Nomad will show a new password with many days left. This is normal and no action is required of you.  You can ignore those emails from One Identity.

You have an option if you do NOT want those emails to be generated.  After you've properly updated your Aon password using Nomad on your Mac while on VPN,  if you wish to get rid of the confusing One Identity emails do the following:

1. While on VPN,  use one of the One Identity email alerts you're receiving to login to One Identity

2. Update your One Identity password to the same password that you just updated to using Nomad.  This will make One Identity happy and the emails will disappear.

Note: At some point we may be free of this integration between the two and you will no longer see the Aon One Identity emails,  but for now, hopefully this gives some explanation of what's happening and how to proceed!
